work > gates and windows (2002-2012)

Many streams feed the well from which art arises. Poetry for me is one of those many. It has accompanied me from childhood - discovered, studied, spoken aloud, turned to, shared, written. Poet Jane Hirshfield and I began our friendship at Vermont Studio Center in September 2001. Her work recurs in my work, here as text embedded into form.
