This is the third iteration of the ongoing project WHEN THERE WERE BIRDS and was installed at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park, Tivoli NY, in the raw space of the Stanford White barn. An amazing light and wind moved through the barn. Pigeons inhabited the loft, their cooing and flight songs creating an ambient sonic field. Vocalist/composer Timothy Hill who has collaborated on the previous iterations of WHEN THERE WERE BIRDS visited and spontaneously sang in harmonic overtone with the installation, the moving light and air, and the birds who lived there.
